A Letter

Hi Friends,

As you might know that today I have joined Goldman Sachs and thus would like to thank you all at this moment for all your support extended during last 6 months and creating such an excellent and unique environment which I always enjoyed.

Joining Enable India and working here has been a turning point of my life and will always inspire me forever to work toward the empowerment of PWD.  According to my view this is one of the best N.G.O. of the country which I have seen in my life. Now my association with Enable India has been turned into a life-long relationship and I will always
feel honoured to work for this great organisation in the future at any time and at any stage.

At Enable India, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the passionate, hard-workers and kindness people that probably have ever existed in a workplace.

I salute Enable India and its team for its relentless mission of creating accessible environment and employment for PWD. I personally know that it is a very difficult task which Enable India is doing with such a high commitment, dedication and passion.

Thanks once again,

With Best Regards,
Saurabh Malav

Congratulations, Saurabh! Here’s wishing you all the very best!

Enable India – campus recruitment for companies!

For a long time – we have been asking companies to consider us as a “campus”. Companies always go to premier colleges and hire freshers from there. Our logic was that persons with disability also need access to the company’s fresher hiring process. They may not have had access to the premier institutes but they need to be given opportunities similar to other freshers.

Mphasis (thanks to Meenu Bhambani and many others) has chosen EnAble India as a campus this year. Today, we have just tested the waters with 30 candidates with different disabilities giving online tests in 5 cities (Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Orissa) across India. The 5 cities were possible due to many like minded partners such as V-Shesh in Chennai, Sarthak in Delhi and Mahindra Satyam Foundation in Hyderabad and a volunteer in Orissa. Those who pass the tests will be interviewed in the next couple of days and hopefully get offers. Due to paucity of time, we were not able to give comprehensive training this time, but instead conducted a quick online aptitude test preparation with the help of volunteers.

For next year, we expect more companies to also join and plan to have many more candidates. We plan to start the preparatory work from June itself. This will give the candidates and us ample time for better conversion to placements.. Inshallah ho jayega! Do spread the word regarding this so that candidates know about this.
