Enable India’s mission is to empower people with disabilities. Its core activities are employment of people with disabilities, pre-employment services, supplemental education, counseling and support services, consultancy and training for other institutions and NGOs and technology services
The origins
EnAble India was founded in 1999 by software engineers Shanti Raghavan & Dipesh Sutariya, who have known disability at close quarters within their family. After having successfully rehabilitated their loved one, they are now using their know-how & insights to empower others. Shanti and Dipesh bring a professional approach to social service, drawing from years of experience in the corporate world.

Shanti Raghavan
Shanti Raghavan holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (B.E) from V.E.S.I.T, Mumbai University and master’s degree (M.S) in Computer Science from Monmouth University, New Jersey, USA.
She has 12 years experience in the software industry. At New Jersey USA she worked with AT&T, Lucent Technologies and ADP Brokerage Information Services Group. After her return to India in 1997, she worked with CyberCash India Pvt. Ltd, Tarang Technologies and GE Aircraft Engines IT, as Program Manager / Engineering Manager
She also has teaching experience, having worked as a lecturer at V.E.S.I.T, Mumbai for a year and as a teaching assistant at Monmouth University for two years. She has been teaching part time for over six years.
Shanti has been selected as a fellow of the Ashoka Foundation( www.ashoka.org ) . Ashoka fellowship is awarded to Social Entrepreneurs who have innovative and practical ideas for solving social problems. The foundation believes in investing in social entrepreneurs who are practical visionaries whose drive and creativity have the potential to bring about large-scale social change.
Dipesh Sutariya
Dipesh Sutariya holds a Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering (B.E) from V.E.S.I.T, Mumbai University and Masters Degree (M.S) in Computer Science from Monmouth University, NJ.
He has 13 years experience in the software industry. His work experience includes working from 1993 to 1997 in New Jersey, USA at Dendrite International, Inc, New Jersey, U.S.A. On his return to India in 1997, he worked for Philips Software Center as Senior Project manager and is now a Director with Dendrite Software India Pvt. Ltd .

I wanted to know if you provide any counselling services for the carer of disabled people. And also if someone is in vegetative state are there any services provided by you or you know anyone that can provide some help. The services would be needed in mumbai.

i am a hearing handicapped person. i want to learn ‘Flash’. How do i do training? APD has stopped training. are there any other learning options?

i want to know if enable india has any of its branches or offices in the delhi ncr region and if yes what are their addresses. as i believe this aura of enabling each and everyone in the society should spread.
if it does not exist i would like to be a part of the process of bringing it to the capital city.
